Dear Miss [Addams]

Pardon my liberty of addressing you. I do so because I think that you may ↑be↓ interested in knowing what the views of the General Public is in matters pertaining to crime. I dare say that the General Public would verify me when I say that the reformer is responsible for all this increase in crime. "The reformer is also to blame for the loss of ↑CHURCH↓ Membership" which the attached clipping will show. The reformer has disgusted the Public (in General) with Churches. I was able to collect the enclosed clippings within a Period of two weeks. When I was growing up we Boys (in the evening after Work) would congregate at the Neighborhood Saloons and perhaps Play one, or more games of cards for a Glass of Beer. Our Parents always knew where we were, but not Today since the reformer rules, I am positively convinced, [page 2] and can Truthfully say, that if you bring back the Saloons, and bring back the Red Light District, Girls will not be molested, and Road House will die. I also feel sure that there will be less automobile murders, because the Young People will not deem it necessary to Possess an automobile (a Murder car) to enjoy their Life.

I am very sincerely

K. Kotty
