Manitowoc -- A sensational charge, involving a 14-year-old high school girl, resulted Tuesday in warrants for Charles Zechel, 17, a high school student, and Harry Peterson, 21. Zechel has been in jail since Sunday night, and Peterson, it was reported, returned to the city Tuesday to surrender after escaping from the cottage at Shoto, where the alleged assault took place. The girl who is said to have been attacked and another girl accompanied the boy and youth to Shoto. As they approached an unoccupied cottage on the Shoto river, one girl jumped from the car and the other accompanied Zechel and Peterson to the cottage. The fleeing girl summoned help in a nearby saloon and a deputy sheriff who was there arrested Zechel. Peterson ran out of the back door.
