Her nose broken, lips bruised, both eyes blackened, suffering severe lacerations and her clothing torn to shreds, Mrs. Carrie Beggs, 40, a widow, 296 Sixteenth St., is under treatment at Emergency hospital as the sequel to a ride Thursday night with a man friend.

Mrs. Beggs was found wandering in a daze a Thirty third and Commerce sts., North Milwaukee, at 2 a.m. Friday, by Patrolman Herman Schmidt, badly battered and with blood flowing from several lacerations.

Mrs. Beggs was taken to the North Milwaukee police station for first aid and was transferred to Emergency hospital, where she told of having gone out automobile riding with a man with whom she was acquainted.

While in a neighborhood she could not recall, they began to quarrel, she said, and the man flew into a rage and beat her severely. She was pushed from the automobile and wandered about until she met the policeman.
