My dear Marcet
I was much interested in your book announcement and I hope that all goes well!
Won't it be possible to see somewhere soon, we are having more good plays and other things in Chicago.
We are all feeling very solemn today because poor Ella Waite is desperately ill. I have been interrupted twice in this short sheet and will send it on "as is" with my love to all the family.
Always your loving Aunt Jane Addams
[written down left margin] P.S. Aunt Laura has sold her Cedarville House!
