Dear Miss Addams:
It's good of you to remit for your cooperating membership so swiftly on your return. I need not tell you we should have been unhappy not to have had your name among the “A’s” that head our roster.
I am hoping to see Mr. Weybright this afternoon and get the most recent word of you. Mr. Lovett and I were at a teachers union conference at the Hudson Guild Farm last [weekend], and he told me you had not been well during the summer. Here’s hoping the cooler weather will mean refreshment; and that you will not get under too heavy a load ↑of [illegible]↓.
Sincerely,
Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.
