My dear Mrs Lovett
We hear the good news that you are to be in Brookline on Aug 25th. Doesn't that mean that you and Nancy Jane can give us a few days? You know what an abundant joy it would be to me.
We seem to be quite full up to the 29th of August [page 2] but after that, it would be absolutely convenient and a great disappointment not to see you.
I am leaving Sept 9" or would suggest your coming after and not before Ruth's ship lands, but perhaps that is still possible before the 9th.
I am going down to Swarthmore for the annual meeting of the Fellowship of Reconciliation [page 3] which commences Sept 10", after that at the same place the national Ex. Com. of the W.I.L. (of which by the way you are a member and ought to come too, wouldn't it be fine if you did the board is being entertained and we might [start in?] the same house), then I go on to a Nat. Settlement Board in New York and then on to Chicago by Sept 20", I hope. This is a hurried letter but you know how genuine. Devotedly yours Jane Addams
