October 17th, 1904. 

My dear Miss Addams:-

After posting the card to you this morning I found that my reason for delay was unnecessary. My question is, are you willing that your paper should appear in our Journal in case Dr. Shaw is also willing for us to use his? It is expressly voted by the Congress authorities that the papers may be elsewhere published at the discretion of their authors, provided credit is given to the Congress. We are trying to publish all of the Sociological papers. Those of Henderson and Muensterberg will appear in the November number, and I wish that yours and Dr. Shaw's, together with those of Ross and Thomas, could appear in the January number.
