Dear Sister Kelley

What do you think of this? J. Lathrop says it is all along of the fact that she is about to resign from her board. Of that we cannot surely [tell?], but I sent the address and you may [hear?].

I am filled with pride & joy over Ko's successes and honors, please don't think me so bigoted as to be unable to rejoice both on my own account and on his mother's. You have won out splendidly and you must [page 2] know that I am happy about it. The heat still swelters and burns and I hope you are not boiled in N.Y. Why doesn't John come to the Summer [School]? Stanley and all the rest of us are most impatient -- Always yours

J. A.
