Miss. J. Addams.

Dear Madam,

I am writing to know if you will consider the question of speaking to a meeting at Portsmouth. A small group of women in the Town are studying your books. A New Conscience & Ancient Evil & Life & Youth in Our City Streets & now you are in England, it would give them the greatest possible pleasure to hear you speak. I do most earnestly hope you will be able to arrange a date & of course we shall be only too glad to arrange the meeting on a day suitable to your engagements.

Yours faithfully

N. O'Shea.
