My dear Mr. Brown:--
I am enclosing a copy of a letter which I wrote to Mrs. Catt, and which will perhaps explain the genesis of the Washington meeting better than anything which I may be able to add. The meeting will be held January 10th, in the ball room of the New Willard Hotel, and we shall hope very much for your [cooperation]. Would it be possible for you to send two women delegates representing the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace? If this can be done they should communicate with Mrs. John Jay White, Studio House, Sheridan Circle, Washington, D.C.
Thanking you for any possible [cooperation], I am
Sincerely yours,
Jane Addams. [signed]
