My dear Alice

It was very nice to have your letter [although] I was so sorry that Mary Fry did not go to Kansas with you as much for her sake as your own.

I have had a fearful time with my teeth but they are a little better tonight. I seem to have one ill after another this winter. We are evidently both growing older. My love to you, [Dear], and do write often if only a line or two.

Always your loving sister

Jane Addams
