Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.

My dear Miss Addams: --

At a special session of the Annual Meeting of the members of the Educational Aid Society, for the purpose of increasing the membership of the Advisory Council of the Society, you were again elected a member of this Advisory Council, subject to your acceptance and, by a resolution passed at this meeting, I have been instructed to notify you of your election.

The members of the Advisory Council have no imperative duties, and no dues are required or expected from them, but, by serving as Counselors, they thereby become Honorary Members of the Society. Although no provision has yet been made for compensation for their services, the Counselors have been very glad to give their suggestions regarding the work of the Society and also their opinions on educational matters or conditions as they have had opportunity to know or study them.

Enclosed you will find a circular which describes briefly the work of this organization, and under separate cover we are sending you a copy of the fifth annual edition of the AMERICAN COLLEGE & PRIVATE SCHOOL DIRECTORY, published by the Society. This book also contains information regarding the several activities of the Society, (see pages 175-194 inclusive). Also enclosed you will find a list of the members of the present Council, including the newly elected members.

Trusting to receive your early and favorable acknowledgment, I am,

Yours very truly,

Harry J. Myers [signed]
President,
EDUCATIONAL AID SOCIETY.
