You have doubtless had the letter about Camille Drevet. I am relieved that she will not return via the U.S.A. but I suppose it is up to us to help get her back from China to [Marseilles]. Have you any suggestions as to raising money? It will be fine to have Edith Pye -- the English speaking one come!
Of course you had Fr Heymann's letter & protest. I have written her my opinion of a three town Congresses [etc] but of course it will all be "up to" the Ex. Com. I do hope that it will not prove disagreeable. [page 2]
I am quite homesick to go with you for we seem to have reached a sort of crisis in our affairs but perhaps when we walk right up to it -- it won't be there.
It is the greatest comfort that you are going. I wish you knew how much I admire & respect your character and the confidence I feel in your decisions.
Please give my love to "the branches" for I sure do hold them all in a curious affection & understand only too well the differences in attitude which the two [ladies] represent.
I am so glad that you are going to Palestine et al and am always & forever devotedly yours Jane Addams.
