THE ANTLERS
COLORADO SPRINGS COLO.

My dear Mrs Blaine

Your books were sent on to Mexico City and quite saved our lives on the long journey back to El Paso -- they were so cool and normal in the midst of the baking sage brush & cacti.

Thank you so much for them. [page 2]

We are staying here for a few days, Mary is visiting her brother's family and I am getting rid of a Mexican germ which has located himself in my throat.

I am much better and we hope to be in Chicago in a few days. May I tell you about fascinating Mexico some time?

Always devotedly yours

Jane Addams [page 3]

P.S.

May I send Nancy and her little brother these Mexican [illegible] dolls?
