Jane Addams to Mary Rozet Smith, June 23, 1919

CRANSTON'S IVANHOE HOTEL

BLOOMSBURY STREET,

LONDON, W.C.1.

Dearest,

Our Hoover plans are practically given up and we sail on the Baltic next Wednesday. I do hope you can come to N.Y. to meet us, we will cable you as soon as we are absolutely sure.

I am sending three letters from Harriet Herrick, it doesn't look very encouraging does it? We are written to Betty [Asch?] to go to see her & of course she is surrounded by Red Cross nurses -- the hospital too was awfully nice [page 2]

Always devotedly yours

Jane Addams
