Dearest

Sister Kelley arrived yesterday morning & we are as comfortable and happy as possible at Mrs Carre's. We have [so tied?] up to the conference pretty hard but then so far it has been tremendously interesting -- a discussion of the colored problem yesterday with a fine address from Booker Washington. Sister Kelley must go back to [Chattanooga] Sunday night so that we can't go to [Pass] Christian. I think I will go out for a day or two to see Mrs Thompson (Annie [Tatman]) who has sent a cordial invitation. This is a heavenly town and [page 2] I wish with all my heart that you were here. There are sociables lunches galore and all done charmingly judging by the two examples we have had.

How I do wish you were here to spend the rest of the week, what fun we could have, the roses & the street views are like Florence.

Love to everyone at H.H. and at No 19.

Yours always J A --
