Dear Miss [Addams] --

I have seen your name in print so often & [read] after you that I feel somewhat acquainted. I am Mrs. Lafayette Dodds wife of Rev. Dr. Dodds, pastor of first M. E. Church, Breckenridge. I take this liberty to write you knowing you are greatly interested in the "Peace Movement" which [page 2] subject I am asked to talk upon before the "Woman's Study Club" of this city Dec. 17th. [I'm] to give current events, & I have perused almost every magazine for some material, but have been unable to find just what I need. Am anxious for something regarding the Convention held at Wash. D.C. Nov. 15th. Have you anything or could you [site?] me to material. Our ladies are interested & some have given their [page 3] names as members of the "Navy League." Any information you can [impart] or clippings you might send will be much appreciated & very gratefully recd. Thanking you in advance & hoping to hear from you soon.

Very sincerely

Mrs. Lafayette Dodds.
