Dear Miss Addams:

It is very pleasant to get your letter and it will be perfectly agreeable to me if I can during the Winter some time receive such an article on the inefficiency of the church as I wrote to you about. I am glad you feel as you do on the subject, because, as I said in my previous letter, I feel very strongly on this question, and I think it is time that some straightforward word should be said to wake up the church if it can be awakened.

I hope your book, "Twenty Years at Hull House," will have, as it should have, the widest possible circulation.

Believe me,

Very cordially yours,

Edward Bok [signed]

Miss Jane Addams
