My dear Miss Addams,
I have been talking this morning with Miss Katharine Dummer of Chicago, who I think you know, and who is now President of the Student Government Board in Radcliffe College. We are wondering whether you are likely to be in the East at any time in this academic year, and if so whether you are willing to speak to the girls [as?] you thought of doing a year or two ago. I have no right to urge you, but I do know that we shall regard it as a great favor if you will tell us when you are coming in this direction and will give the College the pleasure of hearing you on any subject whatever.
Sincerely yours,
Miss Jane Addams
