Enclosed please find a receipt for $36.50 which was received on account of Democracy and Social Ethics, also a slip containing my address which has not changed.

If I remember rightly, my contract in regard to Newer Ideals of Peace specified the payment of $50.00 at the time the manuscript should be sent to you. If this is correct may I remind you that the manuscript was sent you the first of October and that I have already corrected the proofs.
