My dear Alice

I cannot understand why you do not receive my letters. I wrote distinctly that Miss Sarah Smith was better.

That I proposed not to have any earlier photographs than the graduating one sent  to McClurgs. That the rocking chair cost 25.00 and that I would try to find one for you.

I cannot have time for a letter this morning but send this off at once. I distinctly remember having written it all before.

The 2d came safely to hand-–thanks. Always your loving sister
