Dear Miss Wells,

For four years you have kindly sent us a generous check for Hull-House. Last April the amount was $5.00.

We should be very grateful if you could give a like amount this year. While there are fewer new immigrants coming into the neighborhood there are in addition to the static population many Mexicans and colored people from the Southern States, all of whom are in need of every service we can give them.
