My dear Dean Abbott:
We have here with us this year a very bright young German girl, a Miss Annelise von Halle of Heidelberg. Today Miss von Halle asked me if there was any chance that she might on her way back to Germany stop for a while in Chicago and stay at Hull House.
May I trouble you to pass this question of hers on to the appropriate person and get me an answer for Miss von Halle? I can confidently recommend her as one who could fit into the Hull House family group. She is bright and attractive and keenly interested in American life.
Cordial greetings.
Sincerely yours,
