My dear Mr. Kellogg:
I have written to Mrs. Seltzer asking her to lend you Dr. Jacob's manuscript with the understanding of course that you would publish nothing until we determine who would [publishes] the book. Publishing the separate chapters would lose all its advertising value if it appeared before the Seltzers either accepted or rejected the manuscript.
They seem to me unaccountably slow and I am really getting impatient.
Faithfully ↑Hastily↓ yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
