My dear Dame Henrietta:

We are sailing from New York on the [Volendam] of a Dutch Line on June 19th and should reach Paris on the 28th.

We have taken rooms at the Hotel [Lutetia] which is near the Sorbonne, I believe. In case of difficulty there, I could easily be traced through the Woman's University Club, rue de Chevreuse.

I shall have to leave by the 4th or 5th at the latest and go directly to Dublin where as you see by the enclosed circular we are having our International Conference of the W.I.L. which I am afraid never appeals to you very much.

Mary Smith meets me in Paris July 1st and we are going on to Dublin together and are planning a week or two in Ireland afterwards. We do not plan to reach Geneva before the middle of August as three weeks of the summer school seems to be all I am good for.

I need not tell you how eager I am to see you as are all the American Delegation which promises to be a large one.

It was very nice to have your letter which came today and I am replying ↑so↓ promptly so you can give me a long mark this once!

Always devotedly yours,

Jane Addams. [signed]
