Beloved Lady:
I will write to Mr. Aylmer Maude and find out how long the Tolstoys will remain in New York. We will be glad to take care of them if it is at all possible. I presume they will not be spending the entire winter here, but one can never tell.
Miss Blair is going and I am straining a point to get someone with her capacity minus her peculiarities. Sinner that she is I like her tremendously and am sorry to part for other reasons than that of efficiency.
Please tell Mary that I am wondering what she decided about the house.
We have just been having a visit from Grace Abbott and Charlotte, a truly Abbott niece.
With my love to you and Mary, and please hurry back,
Devotedly,
Miss Jane Addams
