To Members of the National Committee on American Japanese Relations.
Dear Friends:
May we ask for a contribution for the work of this Committee?
In inviting you to membership, we definitely state that there were no membership dues, nor financial obligations. Possibly, however, you would like to help support the work which we are carrying on.
It may be well to state that there are neither salaried officers nor expensive overhead charges. Our chief items of expenditure are incurred for printing, postage and an educational work which makes a heavy draft on our funds. Schools and colleges are constantly applying for debate material. We have a large correspondence with both Americans and Japanese regarding the entire situation. The secretary is also called on for articles for paper and magazines.
You will be interested in the enclosed folder giving the action of the Executive Committee of the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America. Its support is a matter of gratification.
Any gift you feel able to make for the work of this Committee will be highly acceptable and gratefully received.
