Eastons night letter to you at my expense per telegraphed credential from our local Western Union manager at time I was appointed Pacific Coast chairman Mexican Relations Committee my husband was dangerously ill only now is he really getting back to normalcy then I broke. Doctors imperative orders compelled me to give up everything. Dozens of prominent men and women know just what I have suffered. Will you not help me Miss Addams? I am forwarding $50 check to you to pay for all arrears if this does not cover expenses kindly advise me at once. This matter I have in hand is supported by some of our best known women leaders who are thoroughly cognizant of my pro-Mexico efforts. May I hope to receive an early telegraphed reply at my expense.
