My dear Mrs. Hull:

I am sending you this telegram with a copy of my reply. My private opinion is that Mrs. Shadburne wishes to use as a title on the [frontispiece] of her book that she is ↑our↓ Mexican representative. I do not remember her very well but my general impression is that she is not the person we would want to jump into the Mexican situation. As you see I have partly put her off and partly put her onto you.

We also in the meantime have our Mexican Section and therefore would not need her services ↑as we did earlier.↓
