March 3, 1926.
My dear Mrs. Shadburne:
In response to your telegrams both to Miss Addams, the National Office, and myself the matter of your being appointed as Chairman of the W.I.L Mexican Committee was reported in our National Board Meeting, which was held in New York City on February 27th.
Inasmuch as we now have a Mexican Section it would be impossible for the United States Section to maintain a Mexican Committee. I am sure you will see that under these circumstances there would be no more reason for having a Mexican Committee than there would be for having a French or an English Committee.
The receipt for the fifty dollars ($50.00) sent for your back dues in the W.I.L. will be sent you directly from the Washington Office.
Sincerely yours,
