My dear Mr Weller

I am afraid that I can't sign the invitation to Gandhi [although] of course it would be wonderful to have him come to the U.S.A.

I can't visualize him as a "lecturer" any more than Tolstoy was, and [although] I admire your letter very much, and hope for a favorable reply, I am afraid that I can't sign it.

With congratulations upon what [page 2] you are doing and with the hope that I may see Mrs Weller and yourself sometime during the year.

I am faithfully yours

Jane Addams
