Dear Miss Addams:

I received from you a letter about the middle of last month. In this you spoke about making some arrangement to invite people to hear me talk about the work of our Institute for Research in Land Economics and Public Utilities in relation to international peace. I have the impression that you have written to me since. I receive a great many letters, and I think I saw one with your signature. If I am right in this, it has been misplaced, and I cannot find it. I simply am writing to make sure that you did not send me a second letter that I have misplaced.
