My dear Miss Addams:
An unsigned note has been sent to me, saying that you wish to know if I know anything about a gentleman by the name of Edward Perry of the G.A.R.
From time to time you have forwarded to me letters from him and because I found it difficult to answer them I sent them in turn to Maud Richards, Chairman of our Program Committee and a member of our Board, who lives in New Jersey, asking [if] she would continue any correspondence with him. I shall find out what she has discovered about him.
Faithfully yours,
Dorothy Detzer
Executive Secretary.
