Dear Miss Addams:

Professor Harry A. Overstreet is to give a series of four talks at the Civic Club on the following dates and titles:

SOCIAL PIONEER INC

April 25 -- Why We Have So Largely Failed

April 30 -- Finding the Areas of Passionate Interest

May 7 -- Reconditioning the Standpatter

May 14 – Capturing the Mind of the Age.

In sending me the notice, Mrs. Floyd, president of the Club, write:

"He would welcome a word from you in advance of the lecture, naming the reason you ascribe for the failure of Social Pioneers."

For my own thinking, and for help in asking Survey editorial plans, I should be very glad if you would let me know how you feel about the question raised.

Sincerely,
Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.
