To the Superintendent of Schools.

↑My dear Dr. Dempsey,↓

Last year the children of Wales broadcasted a message of good will to the children all over the world. This message was responded to by the children of the New York school much to the delight of the Welsh children.

This year Mr. Oltramare the head of the school system in Geneva is arranging to have his children follow the example set by the Welsh children last year and broadcast a message of friendship and world brotherhood to children everywhere.

Feeling that this work of disarming the hearts of children will do more to end war than anything else, I make bold to beg you to arrange to have your children [broadcast] a similar greeting on Good Will Day May 18th to all the children who can hear their call. It may warm the hearts of some of the children in Mexico and Central America and cheer also our Canadian friends.

Trusting you will make the anniversary of Good Will Day impressive by school celebrations emphasizing the spirit of love that Christianity has given us, I am

Very truly yours,
Katherine D. Blake [signed]
