Miss Addams: --

I have read with much interest your excellent article in the last issue of McClure's Magazine. I sincerely hope it will open the eyes of mothers and fathers to the frightful conditions which prevail and will suggest to municipal and other authorities their plain duty in the interest of young men and young women.

It may interest you to know that a white slave case has just been successfully prosecuted in this city. The particularly interesting thing about it is that it was the first of the kind in Indiana under the new act of 1911. I enclose clippings which I am sure will interest you very much.

Very sincerely yours,
F. A. Miller, [signed]
