STATE OF KANSAS
OFFICE OF ATTORNEY-GENERAL
TOPEKA
November 30, 1925.
Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.
Dear Miss Addams:
I had the pleasure of listening to you over the radio last night. Our family has been in sympathy with your work a good many years, [though] not quite as long as the ex-congressman from Iowa, and we were delightfully entertained and instructed as a result of your last night's effort in Kansas City. The fine thing about it is that our twenty-one year old son was very much interested.
We hold, as most everyone else who is familiar with your work, that you are the outstanding woman of America. This is just a rose to the living.
Very respectfully yours,
C.B. Griffith [signed]
Attorney General.
