Dear Miss Doty:
At our Board meeting today where we have been conferring with Miss Addams and with one another we discussed among other things the Dublin agenda.
We suggest as topics: Economic imperialism with special reference, so far as we are concerned, to the United States. Arbitration, as the main road toward realizing the outlawry of war. Abolition of conscription. Militarism in education.
We are not ready to make speakers but should like to have places reserved for two or three speakers, one on economic imperialism and one on either arbitration or on militarism in education.
For the Summer School we propose tentatively beginning July 21 and running to September 1, six weeks. This is supposing the Congressis is set July 7 to 14.
We further suggest that instead of an extended meeting of the Executive Committee before the Congress, a Committee on Congress Agenda and Arrangements hold a meeting before the Congress and attend to everything and that the Executive Committee come together only the day preceding the Congress, and that after the Congress the newly elected Executive Committee can meet for several days, as long as may be necessary to do the Post-congress business.
