Dear Miss Addams:

There was a very engaging note, we all felt, to our annual meeting this noon. Ninety people were there for luncheon, at the Iowa Hall Club, and Dr. Miriam Van Waters of Los Angeles spoke on "Youth in Conflict" charmingly and with point; carrying her hearers across the span from social work to the leagues of youth as they enter into our common life in America today.

Mrs. Leach, Miss Wald, Mr. Eastman and Mr. Pratt were [reelected]. There were members present from Rhode Island, Connecticut, up-state New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as those from the City. I wish you could have been there; but want you to know the spirit of the gathering.

Sincerely,

Editor
