My dear Mr. Andrews:

I think you quite misunderstood my objection to using the material you sent. It seemed to me that the same material put into a little different form would be more fitting and more the style of article I should like to write. I did not take issue of the facts so much as the method in which they were stated.

As you know, I have always very much appreciated the work of your organization and have always said so far and wide whenever I had opportunity, which of course I shall continue to do.

I am very glad that Prof. Seager has written the article. He is much closer to your work day by day and much more the person to do it. I have sent ↑the↓ copy to my friend at the University.

With all good wishes, I am,
faithfully yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
Mr. John B. Andrews,
