Chicago, Illinois.
My dear Miss Addams:
I have received your letter of May 5th with regard to the little books of Miss Innes'.
While I was out in Chicago the books apparently arrived and are now in the post office awaiting a payment of fifty-three dollars and seventy cents ($53.70). I [enclose] the invoice which we received.
I take it for granted you will want this paid, but do not wish to authorize Miss Surles to send in this amount without your authorization. The post office is pushing us with regard to this matter and so I should be very grateful if you could wire me to go ahead and pay this.
Hastily yours,
Dorothy Detzer
Executive Secretary.
