Miss Jane Addams,

Chicago, Ill.

My dear Miss Addams:

We are planning to print in the September issue of our Review the addresses given by yourself and Dean Lewis at our annual meeting in December. Since it is necessary to schedule and prepare the contents of each number some time in advance of its appearance, it will be more helpful if we may have your article at hand soon.

You will recall that with my letter to you of February 10 I enclosed a few brief notes that were taken down during your address for whatever aid they may be to you in preparing the contribution for the Review.

I am counting, most appreciatively, on having your article in time for the September number -- written with as much freedom as to scope and treatment as you wish -- and hope it will not press you too much to send it to me by the early part of June.

Faithfully yours,
Secretary
