WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM
My dear Miss Woods:
I hope my letter yesterday didn't sound too peevish. As I remember it, it must have been rather disagreeable. I was in a great hurry when I wrote it as I had two lectures pending for the same day, which is more than I ought to attempt just now.
I replied to the [enclosed] letter, referring the Michigan lady to you. I am taking no out of town engagements until I go to New York in March.
Through a misunderstanding I got two Forum engagements, one in Jersey City March 21 and one in Brooklyn March 24. I supposed I was to [speak] at Mr. Ely's Town Hall on Saturday, the 22nd but that has been changed to Friday evening, March 28. That means, therefore, that I am free from March 24 to the 28th and I have written to Mrs. Lewis that I should be glad to come to Philadelphia the 25, 26, and 27th if we could have an Executive Committee meeting during one of those three days. Miss Wald promises to see some New York people with me and I hope then to complete my $10,000 fund.
