Dear Jane Addams!

If we are to succeed in getting lectures, then it is necessary that we hand over the matter to a local agent, privately such a thing cannot be done here, we have come to that conclusion in a short time. Madeleine Doty wants to take something to an agent; if we get to Chicago, I will let you know right away. Monday Augspurg and I spoke to Mrs. Villard, she is, however, very miserable, but definitely wants to have the meeting with her in [illegible]. Kind regards from Augspurg. [page 2]
