A NEW PEACE.
WOMEN'S CONFERENCE [ORGANIZED] BY THE WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM.

Dec 20" 1922

My dear Mrs Blaine

I am so glad to send you our resolutions [although] without the discussions they seem rather bold. It was a very good Conference with a lot of solid material. Noted economists like Sir George Paish agreed with the others that all attempts at reconstruction in Europe are held up by the economic clauses in the treaties and that they will have to modified and changed.

May I thank you for the nosegay which came too late for my journey but of which I have heard wondrous tales. You are much too good to me!

With every good wish of the Season, I am Always devotedly yours Jane Addams.
