The package and your kind message came safely and we are very much pleased with both and thank you very much. I always was a perfect heathen when it came to ornaments of the sort and the bit of ivory carving I shall enjoy [page 2] very often. It was indeed especially fine to hear from you again.
I am glad you are gaining in strength. To "go slow" is a very difficult thing for me to do but when it is a question of "have to" it can be done. Sue is fine and full of energy. I shall leave space for her to send you her own message. The woods are lovely [page 2] now and I wish we could have all our friends with us with much love & pleasant memories always affectionately
