Dear Miss Addams:
I don't see that there is anything for us to do but to take your refund. But I take it very regretfully on the one hand and on the other I want you to know how much we appreciate your generous gift of the further [installments].
We are publishing the closed note of correction as a jotting in this week's issue. I am very chagrined that I did not catch those dates when I read the manuscript on the way to the printers.
