January 7, 1921.

My dear Miss Addams:

I know you will be pleased when you read the minutes of our League Meeting we had yesterday. It is ↑was↓ not only business but Mrs. Lewis's first appearance after her return from Europe, and we all lunched together and listened to her most interesting account of her visit to Geneva, Vienna and Germany.

I turned over to her the letter you sent me in regard to securing food for the School Salzburg. I am still waiting to hear whether you will visit Mr. Harding on your way to Washington.

We have another plan in which you are a necessary factor. We want a meeting in New York on "Disarmament", and we want Borah to speak. As a favor may I ask you to go again to ask him to speak for Women's International League; settling his own date. If the hour is noon, we will get up a lunch; if evening is preferred, a large meeting will be perfectly possible.

Do write back that you will do this next week when you are in Washington.

[Miss] Margaret Crook, the new Executive Secretary, is splendid.

If you like this Borah idea, is there any way that Miss Crook or myself can assist in securing him as a speaker?

It was voted at the meeting yesterday, as you will see by the minutes, that the annual meeting shall be held early in April in New York. Of course, this motion can be changed at a request from you.

Affectionately,

Mabel H. Kittredge [signed]
Executive Sec'ty.
