My Dear Miss Addams:-

Before Mr. Sears went to Europe he told me he had agreed to contribute $1200.00, payable either in monthly or quarterly installments, as you called for same, and I am therefore, in accordance with his request and your wishes, as expressed in your letter of the 18th inst., enclosing check for $100.00 for the month of May 1908. Unless otherwise directed by you, I shall see to it that a check for like amount is mailed to you on the 19th of every month during Mr. Sears absence.
