Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Illinois.

My dear Miss Addams:

Miss Martha Van Rensselaer, who has recently been appointed Director of Home Economics for the State of New York outside of the city of New York, is very anxious to secure your services for one of a series of meetings to be held during Farmers' Week, February 11-14, at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.

This meeting is to be a most important one. We are trying to get Mrs. Hoover to speak one day on the Belgium situation and will very much appreciate it if you will advise us at your very earliest convenience if it will be possible for you to accept this engagement and if so which date would be the most convenient for you.

Thank you in advance for your reply, we are,

Faithfully yours,

U.S. FOOD ADMINISTRATION,
